WisdomTree buys Atlantic House for £150M to expand ETFs
WisdomTree completed a £150 million purchase of London-based Atlantic House, adding defined-outcome and derivatives expertise to support 15–20 ETF launches worldwide over 18 months.
WisdomTree has completed its £150 million acquisition of London-based Atlantic House, acquiring an active manager and its team focused on defined-outcome and derivatives strategies. The firm plans to launch 15 to 20 defined-outcome ETFs globally over the next 18 months.
The purchase price was £150 million (about $200 million), payable at closing and subject to customary adjustments. Atlantic House’s investment team will remain in place and will continue managing its strategies under the same approach used for current clients.
WisdomTree stated the acquisition expands its capacity to design, launch and scale differentiated active ETFs and accelerates work on outcome-oriented products. The deal also brings WisdomTree’s Models and Portfolio Solutions offering into the U.K. wealth market, with the company aiming to deepen adviser relationships and expand distribution across Europe.
Tom May, chief executive of Atlantic House, described joining WisdomTree as an opportunity to extend the firm’s defined-outcome strategies and model portfolios with greater scale and reach while keeping the investment team and its disciplined approach in place.
Jonathan Steinberg, WisdomTree founder and CEO, characterized the transaction as advancing the company’s strategy to grow in active ETFs, outcome-oriented strategies and managed models, adding that Atlantic House’s derivatives expertise combined with WisdomTree’s distribution should strengthen product development and delivery.
Alexis Marinof, CEO for Europe at WisdomTree, noted the acquisition adds a differentiated platform and established client relationships, and that the immediate focus will be on executing a rollout of the combined capabilities across WisdomTree’s client base.
Following the closing, WisdomTree manages roughly $163.19 billion in assets globally. That total includes assets from the firm’s 2025 acquisition of Ceres Partners and reflects its entry into private markets.
