Zilch plans London IPO for 2027

Zilch, the UK buy-now-pay-later fintech, plans a London initial public offering in 2027.

Zilch, the London-headquartered buy-now-pay-later fintech, plans to pursue an initial public offering on the London market in 2027, the company said. The listing is intended to support the next phase of the company’s growth.

Zilch intends to use proceeds to fund product development, expand merchant partnerships and support geographic expansion. The firm operates a point-of-sale credit service that lets consumers split purchases into instalments and runs a consumer app for tracking spending and credit usage. The company has expanded its merchant network and customer base since launch.

The company targets 2027 for a London listing rather than an earlier flotation or a U.S. debut. Company leaders cited a desire to list in the firm’s home market and to access local institutional and retail investors. The flotation is planned after further scaling of revenues and improvement in credit performance to meet public-market reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

Zilch competes with established European and U.S. buy-now-pay-later providers. Regulators have focused on underwriting, customer transparency and affordability checks in the sector. The company is investing in compliance, credit analytics and risk controls and is pursuing partnerships with merchants and payment networks to widen where its product can be used.

Management will prioritise unit economics and customer retention while preparing for public reporting. The company plans to provide investors with clearer financial metrics and growth targets ahead of any listing. The board and advisers will work on structuring the float, and on timing and sizing of any share sale, subject to market conditions and regulatory approvals.

The company noted industry trends and regulatory developments will affect the timing and terms of any offering. The 2027 timetable gives Zilch time to scale operations and to accumulate more data on credit performance before seeking public markets.

Zilch provides interest-free and instalment credit options at the point of sale and operates an app to manage accounts and payments. The planned 2027 London IPO is expected to follow additional private funding rounds and operational milestones in the coming years.
