WisdomTree ETF offers access to physical AI and humanoids
WisdomTree launched the WDRN ETF last month to give investors exposure to physical AI, humanoid robotics and drones through a portfolio of more than 60 stocks.
WisdomTree launched the WisdomTree Physical AI, Humanoids, and Drones Fund (WDRN) last month. The exchange-traded fund holds a portfolio of more than 60 stocks that provide investors exposure to physical AI, humanoid robotics and drone companies.
The fund groups hardware manufacturers, semiconductor suppliers, cloud and data center operators, simulation and software platform providers, infrastructure firms and industrial end users that are integrating embodied intelligence into operations.
Estimates cited by WisdomTree place the global physical AI market above $493 billion by 2030. A PwC report states, “Physical AI is transitioning from early pilots to scaled commercial deployment over the next 3 to 5 years,” and notes that while some applications already operate in constrained domains, the majority of use cases remain in early adoption phases.
WDRN’s methodology targets multiple parts of the technology stack where initial value may appear, including digital infrastructure and foundational models. PwC’s analysis highlights an expanded opportunity set that includes domain-specific models, niche semiconductors, sensors, geographic sovereignty issues, and changes in manufacturing and modularization.
PwC projects that the first generation of physical AI leaders will be established within three to five years and warns that the cost of catching up could become prohibitive. The firm recommends that companies decide on platform partners, data strategy and in-house capabilities within the next 12 to 24 months.
As an ETF, WDRN offers a single vehicle to access several subthemes-humanoids, drones and the supporting hardware and software-while spreading exposure across manufacturers, component suppliers and service providers.
PwC also noted that technological and deployment challenges remain, and that the market’s path will depend on how quickly foundational platforms, standards and scalable business models form. The fund debuted as interest grows in agentic AI and in applying digital models to physical systems such as delivery drones, warehouse robots and service humanoids.
