WisdomTree launches AI, Humanoids & Drones ETF
WisdomTree launched the Physical AI, Humanoids and Drones Fund (WDRN) to provide broad equity exposure to companies tied to drones, robotics and artificial intelligence.
WisdomTree has launched the Physical AI, Humanoids and Drones Fund (ticker WDRN). The exchange-traded fund offers broad equity exposure to companies involved in unmanned aircraft, robotics and artificial intelligence across consumer, industrial and defense applications.
The fund is designed to give investors exposure to the drone economy without selecting individual stocks. WDRN is not a pure-play drone ETF or a traditional aerospace and defense fund; it includes companies linked to AI, humanoid robotics and unmanned systems.
Industry estimates put the global drone market at about $355 billion this year. Some analysts view that figure as a baseline for future growth in consumer, industrial and military uses.
Analysts project the military drone market at roughly $15.8 billion in 2025 rising to about $22.8 billion by 2030. Broader drone warfare and defense segments could range from $42 billion to $88 billion over the same period, depending on measurement methods.
Offensive drone capabilities have expanded, and governments are increasing spending on systems to detect, jam, intercept or neutralize hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.
U.S. procurement figures illustrate the shift toward unmanned systems. The Pentagon’s fiscal 2027 budget request included about $55 billion for drone-related needs, up from roughly $225 million the prior year. The U.S. Army has outlined plans to acquire as many as one million drones in the coming years.
WDRN includes companies across commercial and defense supply chains and adds AI and humanoid robotics to capture supporting technologies such as autonomy, sensing, logistics and maintenance. The fund may appeal to investors seeking broad sector exposure rather than individual stock selection.
WisdomTree noted that estimates and forecasts vary and that the drone industry contains high-volatility stocks. The firm said information about WDRN and the market outlook was prepared as part of a paid sponsorship and provided for educational purposes only. Investors should consult a financial or tax professional before making investment decisions.
