Wipro, ServiceNow to deploy agentic AI workflows; shares up 4%

Wipro expanded its partnership with ServiceNow to deploy agentic AI workflows across core business functions; shares rose 4% on Friday.
Wipro announced on Friday it will work with ServiceNow to integrate agentic artificial intelligence into enterprise workflows across IT operations, human resources and customer service. Wipro’s shares rose about 4% in trading.
Agentic AI systems can initiate actions, chain multiple steps and interact with different systems to complete tasks. They differ from rule-based automation that runs predefined scripts.
Wipro and ServiceNow plan to apply agentic AI to automate routine work, coordinate processes and support decision-making in back-office operations and service teams.
Company executives described the initiative as a way to convert rising client demand for AI into longer-term revenue by offering more autonomous automation solutions to large customers.
The announcement comes amid rising interest in AI from enterprise clients and after a period of cautious corporate spending. Many companies are prioritizing efficiency and cloud adoption within their digital transformation budgets.
Adoption will depend on whether pilot projects scale to full deployments. Large enterprises must decide how agentic AI fits into existing technology stacks, compliance frameworks and governance processes.
If agentic AI is adopted at scale, it could alter outsourcing economics by reducing reliance on labor-led delivery and changing pricing models. Systems integrators may need to redesign delivery approaches and demonstrate measurable returns to clients.
Investors will watch for new contract wins, a stronger AI-focused deal pipeline and growth in AI-related revenue in coming quarters.
