Wedbush, BofA Raise Roblox Price Target to $48

Wedbush and Bank of America raised Roblox’s price target to $48, citing RDC 2026 updates to search and recommendation systems that may boost discovery and engagement before Q3 bookings.

Roblox shares rose on September 14 after analysts at Wedbush and Bank of America increased their price targets to $48, citing changes to the platform’s search and recommendation systems discussed at RDC 2026. The stock moved above its 100-day moving average on the same day.

Analysts at both firms pointed to refinements in how Roblox surfaces content and recommends experiences to players. They identified a faster rise in new titles such as Steal an Egg as evidence that discovery velocity is improving, which could allow developers to reach players more quickly and generate more spending.

The upgrades follow a period of weak performance for Roblox. The stock had declined about 35% year-to-date in 2026 and hit multi-month lows after a sharp sell-off following the company’s late-July earnings report. Market participants noted the move above the 100-day moving average as a technical signal of renewed buying interest.

Third-party platform metrics tracked by market observers show average peak concurrent users and engagement hours have rebounded since July. Those tracking tools indicate daily active users have stabilized and international adoption has increased, data that analysts cited when projecting upside to third-quarter bookings.

Short covering contributed to upward pressure on the shares as bearish positions were closed amid improving sentiment. The company’s $3 billion share buyback authorization also provided buying support. Roblox does not pay a dividend.

On valuation, Roblox trades at about six times price-to-sales, a multiple the analysts described as below the company’s historical levels. Street consensus rating is Overweight, with some price targets reaching as high as $65. The Wedbush and Bank of America notes form part of a broader analyst reassessment following developer and engagement signals presented at RDC.

Investors will watch Roblox’s third-quarter results for confirmation that the algorithm changes have translated into stronger bookings and higher monetization. Key items to monitor in the report include developer activity, engagement hours, international growth and holiday-quarter outlook.
