Walleye Hires Executives From Balyasny, Millennium

Walleye Capital has hired Jordan Tanner from Balyasny and Anna Dev from Millennium for its equities business. They are expected to join in mid-2027.

Walleye Capital has hired Jordan Tanner and Anna Dev to expand its equity long-short business. Both executives are expected to join the $17 billion multistrategy hedge fund in mid-2027.

Tanner was chief equities strategist at Balyasny Asset Management. At Walleye, he will improve coordination among the firm’s fundamental equities, volatility and central strategy teams, including through the use of artificial intelligence.

Dev joins from Millennium Management. She will focus on recruiting investment professionals and evaluating opportunities to provide capital to external managers.

The appointments come as Walleye builds its equities business led by Anil Gondi, a former Balyasny portfolio manager. Matt Giannini left his position as chief operating officer of the division after less than a year.

Giannini is returning to Citadel for a third period at the firm, where he is expected to support the expansion of its equities business.
