Verition hires Jérôme Brochard as London MD

Verition has appointed Jérôme Brochard as a managing director in London. He joins from Nomura and previously led systematic trading strategies at Goldman Sachs.

Verition has appointed Jérôme Brochard as a managing director in London. He left Nomura to join the multi-strategy hedge fund, bringing experience from senior roles at major banks.

At Nomura Brochard served as global head of structuring and EMEA head of distribution in the bank’s quantitative investment solutions unit. Teams in that unit develop and package systematic investment strategies for institutional clients, often converting hedge fund-style approaches into structured products and derivatives.

Brochard previously worked in Credit Suisse’s quantitative investment solutions division and spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs. He was named managing director in 2011 and later became global head of systematic trading strategies, focusing on systematic execution and strategy development.

Verition has not disclosed Brochard’s specific responsibilities or his formal start date. Public regulatory records show his association with Nomura ended in late March, and no registration for him with the UK Financial Conduct Authority under Verition appears on the FCA register.

Nomura declined to comment on his departure and Verition did not respond to requests for comment.

Verition has been expanding its European platform and has added senior hires with systematic and quantitative experience as it grows its presence in the region.
