Tycho Capital has opened its first US office in West Palm Beach, Florida, led by partner Matthew Barrett to focus on manager research and investor engagement.
Tycho Capital has opened its first US office in West Palm Beach, Florida. The office is led by partner and head of investments Matthew Barrett and will focus on manager research and engagement with US hedge fund and alternatives investors.
The West Palm Beach team will support relationships with US-based hedge fund managers and investors, providing closer access to firms and individuals seeking alternative sources of return. Barrett will oversee efforts to identify differentiated managers and investment opportunities across alternative strategies.
The firm said the office responds to growing activity in South Florida, where hedge funds, private capital firms, family offices and investment professionals have been increasing their presence. Tycho plans to use the base to deepen engagement with managers and develop relationships with US investors across hedge funds and other alternative strategies.
The opening builds on Tycho’s existing US network, including managers represented on its Tycho Funds platform. The physical office formalizes connections the firm has developed over several years and provides a local base for manager research and investor outreach.
Barrett described the opening as “a natural next step” in expanding Tycho’s international presence. He noted the firm is seeing an attractive opportunity set across hedge funds and alternatives and that demand for differentiated strategies has grown.
Tycho is a research-led alternative investment specialist headquartered in London. The West Palm Beach office adds to its international footprint, which includes offices in Frankfurt and Madrid. The Florida operation will concentrate on manager research, relationship development and investor engagement rather than portfolio management or product manufacturing.
