Triple-A Enables In-Store Stablecoin Payments at LuxLexicon
Triple-A will let LuxLexicon’s Palais Renaissance store in Singapore accept stablecoin payments for selected luxury handbags, converting coins to SGD at locked rates with next-day settlement.
Triple-A and LuxLexicon announced today that the Palais Renaissance boutique in Singapore will accept stablecoin payments for selected luxury handbag purchases. Triple-A’s system converts accepted stablecoins into Singapore dollars in real time at locked exchange rates and settles funds to the merchant’s bank account the next business day.
The option applies only to specific items at the Palais Renaissance location and targets digitally native shoppers seeking alternatives to cross-border currency transfers and higher credit-card fees. Customers will pay with supported stablecoins while LuxLexicon receives local-currency settlement the following business day.
Triple-A said it will provide the payments infrastructure and handle conversion, compliance and bank settlement for merchants that integrate the service. The company reports it supports about 1,000 enterprise customers worldwide and enables more than 700 million people to pay with digital currencies across its client base.
LuxLexicon, founded in 2016 and part of Carousell Group, operates both online and physical resale channels for curated luxury handbags. The company noted that merchants accepting digital currencies often see higher average order values, with customers who pay in digital currencies tending to spend more.
Eric Barbier, founder and CEO of Triple-A, commented: “Luxury retail is global by nature. By enabling stablecoin payments at LuxLexicon, we’re making it easier for international customers to shop and helping retailers tap into a new high-value, digitally native audience.” Kevin Simtan, Senior Manager, Business Strategy and Operations at LuxLexicon, added: “At LuxLexicon, we are always looking for ways to enhance the luxury resale experience by improving accessibility. Introducing stablecoin payments into our store is part of our commitment to exploring diverse customer preferences while maintaining the premium experience our customers expect.”
The rollout follows other retailers and e-commerce platforms that have adopted Triple-A’s compliant stablecoin payment service. LuxLexicon did not disclose which stablecoins will be accepted or whether the feature will expand to other store locations or product categories.
