TRG Screen buys market data adviser BST America

TRG Screen has acquired BST America, a New York market-data advisory firm, adding two decades of commercial advisory expertise and expanding its market-data services.

TRG Screen has completed the acquisition of BST America, a New York-based market data advisory and consultancy firm. The deal expands TRG Screen’s services across the market data lifecycle and adds more than two decades of commercial advisory experience to its offering.

TRG Screen provides market data and subscription management software to financial services and legal firms. BST America offers specialist work in vendor benchmarking, demand management, sourcing and negotiation strategy, contract and renewal support, and operational practices for commercial market data teams.

The acquisition brings BST America’s advisory team and client relationships into TRG Screen’s product and services portfolio. Company materials state clients will retain existing advisory contacts while gaining access to TRG Screen’s technical tools and managed services. The firms cited BST America’s record of repeat engagements and long-term client relationships as factors in the deal.

TRG Screen says the combined business will provide market data teams with greater visibility into spend and usage to inform sourcing, negotiations and operating-model decisions. The companies added the integration will align commercial advisory services with usage analytics and managed services. No integration timeline or financial terms were disclosed.
