ThinkMarkets launches ChelseaAI on ThinkTrader
ThinkMarkets launches ChelseaAI on ThinkTrader, letting traders link live and demo accounts to MCP-compatible AI assistants to check positions, place CFD trades and manage orders. Available June 2, 2026.
ThinkMarkets launched ChelseaAI on its ThinkTrader platform on June 2, 2026. The feature lets traders connect live and demo accounts to AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to check positions, place CFD trades and manage orders without a separate login.
The connection runs over MCP, an open standard designed to let AI assistants access external services and account data securely. ThinkMarkets recommends Anthropic’s Claude, and the interface is compatible with other MCP-capable assistants such as Grok and ChatGPT. ThinkMarkets describes ChelseaAI as an execution interface that carries out trader instructions; it does not provide trading recommendations, signals or investment advice.
Traders select a permission level when they set up the connection. Read-only access allows an assistant to view market data, positions, balances and trading history. Full access permits the assistant to place, modify and close orders. Permissions can be changed or revoked instantly from within ThinkTrader.
The integration prevents any movement of client funds: ChelseaAI cannot initiate deposits, withdrawals or transfers. All actions taken via the assistant are recorded in an in-platform audit log that the AI cannot read or alter. Sessions expire after seven days or after 24 hours of inactivity.
ChelseaAI is available exclusively on ThinkTrader for both live and demo accounts. The integration covers 26 tools across market data, position management, order execution and account information, and ThinkMarkets says setup takes under two minutes.
Nauman Anees, co-founder and CEO of ThinkMarkets, noted that the company prioritized trust and controls in the product design, citing the permission model and the funds boundary as protections for client accounts.
