Sparinvest and STOXX launch Denmark-domiciled STOXX Europe 600 fund

The first Danish-domiciled exchange-traded mutual fund tracking the STOXX Europe 600 offers exposure to 600 listed European companies for retail and institutional investors.

Sparinvest and STOXX have launched the first Danish-domiciled exchange-traded mutual fund that tracks the STOXX Europe 600 index. The fund provides a single, traded vehicle giving investors exposure to 600 listed European companies and is available to both retail and institutional investors.

The product is a partnership between Sparinvest, a Copenhagen-based asset manager, and STOXX Ltd., part of the ISS STOXX group, which supplies the benchmark. The firms describe the fund as a low-cost and transparent way to access a broad range of European equities from a Denmark-domiciled vehicle.

The STOXX Europe 600 has a fixed number of 600 components and covers large-, mid- and small-cap companies across 17 countries. STOXX states the index offers broader coverage among flagship European benchmarks by both market capitalisation and number of constituents.

Jørgen Søgaard-Andersen, chief executive of Sparinvest, described the fund as “a simple and cost-efficient way to gain exposure to 600 of the largest and most prominent listed companies across Europe in a single investment.” Axel Lomholt, general manager of STOXX, called the STOXX Europe 600 “widely recognised as the leading benchmark for European equities” and highlighted its diversification across countries, sectors and industries.

The firms cited industry data showing passive exchange-traded funds that track the STOXX Europe 600 increased assets by 58 percent in the previous year, and that total assets under management rose a further 6.5 percent in the first quarter of 2026 to EUR 32.5 billion. Sparinvest noted increasing investor interest in European equities and a move to a more balanced regional allocation as factors behind demand.

The fund is domiciled in Denmark and will use STOXX’s benchmark methodology together with Sparinvest’s distribution and asset-management capabilities. The sponsors state the vehicle is intended to meet investor demand for diversified European equity exposure through a Denmark-based traded fund.
