SEI To Link ETP Platform With ICE ETF Hub

SEI will integrate its ETP order management platform with ICE ETF Hub to automate and standardise creation and redemption workflows in the primary market.

SEI announced on Oct. 8 that it had agreed to integrate its exchange-traded product (ETP) order management platform with Intercontinental Exchange’s ICE ETF Hub.

The integration will support the creation and redemption of ETPs through standardised connectivity, automated order management and collaboration among issuers, authorised participants and market makers. It will cover ETPs across multiple asset classes.

Creation and redemption are primary-market processes used to issue new ETP units or remove existing units from circulation. They typically involve issuers and authorised participants exchanging assets or cash for ETP units.

SEI will gain access to ICE ETF Hub’s connectivity across the ETP primary market. The firm expects the link to support its ETP servicing operations as assets, trading volumes and industry standards change.

“Our integration with ICE ETF Hub strengthens the operational foundation of our ETP solutions and supports our long-term ETP strategy,” Sean Lawlor, head of public markets for SEI’s Investment Managers business, said. “This gives us the scalability to respond to expanding ETP assets, increased trading volumes, evolving industry standards and future market innovation.”

Lawlor added that SEI would continue investing in servicing, technology and other capabilities for investment managers operating in the ETP market.

ICE ETF Hub connects more than 250 issuers with more than 55 authorised participants and market makers, according to Intercontinental Exchange. The platform supports more than 1,800 ETPs and processed more than $5 trillion in cumulative notional volume by the second quarter of 2026.

“By bringing greater automation, standardisation and connectivity to ETP primary market workflows, ICE ETF Hub helps firms reduce operational complexity, manage liquidity and improve efficiencies across the ETP ecosystem,” Peter Borstelmann, president of ICE Bonds at Intercontinental Exchange, said.
