Schonfeld hires Kedalion trader Lorenzo Longo

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors hired Lorenzo Longo as a portfolio manager on its Delta One trading team. He will report to Riccardo Riboldi, the firm’s global head of emerging markets and Delta One.

People familiar with the matter confirmed Longo joins after more than two years at Kedalion Capital Management, a firm backed by Millennium Management. Before Kedalion, Longo spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs, working in institutional trading and later in the hedge fund sector. Riboldi joined Schonfeld in 2023 after a career at Goldman Sachs.

Delta One trading covers instruments that closely track the performance of an underlying asset. Common products include exchange-traded funds, futures, forwards and swaps. Delta One desks trade exposure with low tracking error and execute relative-value strategies across equity and derivatives markets.

People familiar with the matter described the hire as part of Schonfeld’s wider effort to expand its investment team and trading capabilities.

Representatives for Schonfeld declined to comment. Representatives for Kedalion and Longo did not respond to requests for comment.

Schonfeld operates as a multi-strategy hedge fund manager with trading operations across markets and instruments.
