Former HSBC Trader Samuele Grosso Joins Bank of America Paris
Samuele Grosso, who had a short stint at HSBC and spent about two years at hedge fund Taula Capital in Milan, has joined Bank of America’s European government bond desk in Paris.
Samuele Grosso has joined Bank of America’s European government bond trading desk in Paris and will work alongside Blaise Prevoteau.
Grosso previously had a short stint at HSBC, where he worked with Prevoteau, before moving to hedge fund Taula Capital in Milan. He spent about two years at Taula, trading alongside market professionals including former Citi managing director Matteo Sardeo.
Prevoteau, who spent more than two decades at HSBC, joined Bank of America earlier this year as co-head of European debt trading and has been recruiting to expand the Paris trading team. The Paris desk trades euro-denominated sovereign bonds such as French OATs, German Bunds and Italian BTPs.
Grosso returned to the sell side after working at a hedge fund, reflecting a pattern of junior and mid-level traders moving between hedge funds and investment banks across European fixed income desks.
Neither Bank of America nor Taula Capital commented on the appointment.
