RS2 to Power PXP’s Acquiring Across 30+ European Markets
RS2 will provide managed acquiring and card-scheme processing to PXP via BankWORKS, supporting card-present and card-not-present transactions on Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club across 30+ European markets.
RS2 has agreed to provide managed acquiring and card-scheme processing to PXP through its BankWORKS platform. The service will support card-present and card-not-present transactions on Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club in more than 30 European markets, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries and markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
The deal pairs RS2 Smart Processing, the group’s processing and managed services arm, with PXP’s omnichannel payment platform to deliver end-to-end acquiring services. RS2 will supply the BankWORKS core and its Online Switch to handle real-time transaction authorisations, dynamic interchange prediction and scheme fee calculations.
The arrangement covers daily clearing and settlement, including same-day clearing, merchant settlement, integrated dispute handling and automated reconciliation feeds. These functions support the transaction lifecycle from authorisation through settlement.
Under the agreement RS2 will operate the technical processing and managed acquiring functions while PXP will retain merchant-facing acquiring responsibilities and client relationships. Routing authorisations, fee calculations and settlements through BankWORKS is intended to reduce the need for separate, local acquiring integrations across multiple countries and schemes.
Radi El Haj, CEO of RS2 Group, described the deal as a demonstration of BankWORKS’ flexibility and said it will provide PXP with a resilient, scalable foundation for growth across Europe while simplifying management of acquiring operations across several markets. Kamran Hadjiri, CEO of PXP, described the agreement as strengthening the company’s acquiring infrastructure and noted it will improve consistency of merchant services across its markets, adding that RS2’s technology and managed processing expertise deliver the performance and operational control PXP requires to support both in-person and online card payments.
The partnership is a commercial agreement to integrate RS2’s processing services with PXP’s acquiring capabilities, enabling PXP to expand its acquiring footprint without building separate processing infrastructures for each market.
