RQI launches UK UCITS for Global Value strategy

RQI Investors launched the RQI Global Fund, a UK UCITS OEIC providing professional and retail investors access to its Global Value strategy.

RQI Investors has launched the RQI Global Fund, a UK UCITS open-ended investment company that gives professional and retail investors access to its Global Value strategy. The fund launch follows an Irish UCITS version introduced in 2025 and extends the firm’s distribution in the UK.

RQI Investors is part of the First Sentier Group and reported £17 billion in assets under management as of 30 June 2026. The Global Value strategy was established in 2008, manages more than £2.9 billion globally and produced annualised net returns of 12.68% from inception to 31 May 2026. The firm reported top-quartile gross excess returns for the strategy over three, five and 10 years versus peers in the Nasdaq eVestment Global All Cap Value Equity universe.

The RQI Global Fund will hold an actively managed portfolio of global equities run through the firm’s systematic investment process. RQI describes the process as designed to identify undervalued companies while reducing some traditional drawbacks associated with value investing. The strategy is value-oriented and contrarian; the portfolio typically shows higher dividend yields and lower valuations than global market-capitalisation indices.

The fund will be managed by RQI’s existing Global Value investment team, including portfolio managers Dr Joanna Nash, Dr Ron Guido and Dr Wang Chun Wei, together with head of investments Dr David Walsh. RQI says each member of the team has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and has been with the firm for about six years. Since the strategy’s launch in 2008, the investment team has expanded to 22 professionals, six of whom hold PhDs in finance, economics or statistics.

Andrew Francis, chief executive of RQI Investors, commented that the launch expands the firm’s UK offering and highlighted the strategy’s 17-year track record and the team’s experience. RQI noted the strategy is positioned to help investors address rising market concentration in both US and emerging-market equities.
