Revolut restructures Lithuania unit, shifts roles to Europe
Revolut reorganized its Lithuanian operations, changing local roles, reporting lines and staffing while moving some functions to other European offices.
Revolut carried out an internal reorganization at its Lithuanian unit in recent weeks, reshaping the local team, reporting lines and staffing levels. The changes were implemented across the unit that supports parts of the company’s European operations.
The reorganization affected compliance, operations and customer support. Some responsibilities were shifted to other European offices and several local teams were merged. Managers updated reporting lines and concentrated certain back-office and support tasks into larger regional teams.
Human resources adjustments included internal transfers, the closure of some positions and the creation of roles under new reporting structures. The company handled the changes through standard HR processes; some employees were reassigned within the group while others left the unit.
The company described the reorganization as an effort to align Lithuanian capacity with broader European priorities, improve operational efficiency and standardize processes across jurisdictions. Revolut said front-line payment and banking services continued to operate under existing licence arrangements during the transition.
The overhaul follows a period in which several European fintechs have adjusted their footprints after rapid expansion. Lithuania has been a frequent base for fintech licensing and market entry, and Revolut had established a significant presence there during its European expansion. Revolut was founded in 2015.
