Qubealgo has appointed Mark Reeves as global head of sales. Based in London, he will lead global sales and business development and has more than 30 years’ experience in FX and FICC e-trading.

Reeves joins from Standard Chartered Bank in New York, where he served as Executive Director and led the Macro Sales Desk for banks and broker-dealers. He earlier held the role of Director of FX Sales at Standard Chartered and spent more than 14 years at Deutsche Bank in New York, first on the FICC eCommerce team and later on the FX sales desk. He has worked with financial institutions on adopting electronic trading, execution technology and workflow solutions.

At Qubealgo, Reeves will drive global sales and business development and work with institutional clients to deploy algorithmic execution and electronic trading solutions.

Qubealgo offers asset-agnostic software intended to speed development, testing and deployment of complex e-trading applications. The framework is designed to let clients retain full intellectual property ownership while providing prebuilt business logic to reduce coding and shorten time to market. The company presents the platform as an alternative to proprietary development and off-the-shelf systems.

Reeves commented: “Electronic execution has become a strategic priority for financial institutions, but many still face the choice of expensive proprietary development or inflexible off-the-shelf solutions. Qubealgo combines institutional-grade execution technology with client flexibility. I look forward to helping clients address execution challenges and to supporting Qubealgo’s global growth.”

Jeff Leal, co-founder, highlighted Reeves’s senior market relationships and commercial leadership and added that the experience will help as the company adds new clients and evolves its product offering. Martin Zinkin, co-founder, pointed to growing demand for automated trading solutions across Fixed Income, FX and digital assets and expects Reeves to support the firm’s global expansion.

The hiring comes amid growing market interest in electronic and automated execution across multiple asset classes.
