Pirum has named Ray Wong director of product for AI & Data to speed development and deployment of agentic AI products across its securities finance network.
Pirum has appointed Ray Wong as director of product for AI & Data to accelerate development and deployment of agentic AI products across its securities finance network.
Wong will lead product strategy and delivery for AI and data, focusing on scaling agentic AI across Pirum’s network of more than 150 financial institutions. The network processes about $6.5 trillion in transactions each day.
He joins from Duco, where he led product management for the firm’s capital markets automation suite. His 20 years in product leadership include roles as Head of Innovations at AG Delta in Singapore and as a product specialist at Reuters; he has led engineering, sales and product teams across Asia, Europe and North America.
Agentic AI refers to systems that can perform tasks and make decisions with limited human input, including automating parts of trading and post-trade workflows.
Wong commented, “The data standard and global connectivity we have built up gives Pirum’s AI strategy a formidable foundation. The market is ready, and so is the technology. I am looking forward to working with the leadership team across EMEA and North America, as well as our clients worldwide, and bringing to market products that give securities finance desks a measurable operational advantage.”
Ben Challice, Pirum’s chief executive, said that Wong combines technical and commercial experience needed for the firm’s current phase of product development and that Pirum has been moving agentic AI from pilots into production in regulated environments. Challice added that Wong’s background will help accelerate deployment and adoption among institutional clients.
The appointment follows a broader industry pattern of integrating advanced machine learning and autonomous agents into regulated trading and post-trade services.
