Financial Planning opened nominations for the 2027 Top 40 Brokers Under 40 and Regional Top 40 lists. Submissions close at 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 7, 2026.

Financial Planning has opened nominations for the 2027 Top 40 Brokers Under 40 and the Regional Top 40 Brokers Under 40. Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 7, 2026. The program is limited to employee W-2 advisors at wirehouses and regional broker-dealers.

Nominators must report each candidate’s personal production for the trailing 12-month period from Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2026, and personal assets under management as of Sept. 30, 2026. Team production and team assets will not be considered. Any custody of assets cited in a nomination must be held with the nominee’s firm of employment.

Eligible nominees must be 39 years old or younger on Dec. 31, 2026. Independent advisors, bank channel advisors and registered investment advisors are not eligible. All nominations and the data provided will be verified by the publication before final lists are determined.

Nominations must be submitted through the publication’s online nomination form. Firms and nominators should ensure that production and AUM figures match firm records, since those figures will be checked during verification. The 2026 overall and regional Top 40 lists are available as reference for the 2027 cycle.

For full eligibility rules, required documentation and submission instructions, nominators should review the nomination form and the publication’s submission guidelines. Reporter Dan Shaw covers the wirehouse and bank channels and has overseen coverage of the annual Top 40 lists.
