More Than a Dozen ETFs Launched in Canada in July 2026
BMO, Guardian i3, Lysander-Canso, Capital Group and others debuted ETFs in Canada in July 2026 across credit, income, equities, factor and commodity strategies.
A group of exchange-traded funds began trading in Canada in July 2026, led by BMO’s ZCDX and ZCDX.U, Guardian i3’s GIAI, Lysander-Canso’s PBY and three Capital Group select equity ETFs, CAPN, CAPQ and CAPU. All funds were listed on Canadian exchanges during the month.
BMO’s ZCDX and ZCDX.U are labeled BMO Credit Stress Opportunities. Guardian i3’s GIAI targets artificial intelligence and related technology companies. Lysander-Canso’s PBY is an active credit income strategy. Capital Group launched three regionally focused select equity ETFs: Capital Group International Developed Equity Select ETF (CAPN), Capital Group Global Developed Equity Select ETF (CAPQ) and Capital Group U.S. Equity Select ETF (CAPU).
Other July listings included IA Clarington’s International Multifactor Equity Fund (IIME), Harvest’s International High Income Shares ETF (HHII) and Harvest Premium Yield Gold ETF (HPYG). Brompton added Utilities & Infrastructure HighPay (PAYI) and U.S. Equity HighPay (PAYU). NBI introduced the SmartData Canadian Equity Fund (NSDC). Madison launched U.S. Mid Cap (MMID) and U.S. Large Cap (MLRG) ETFs. Evolve listed the Canadian Financials Yield Fund (CFIN) and the Canadian Utilities Yield Fund (CUTE).
The new issues span credit and income strategies, equity selection, factor-based approaches and a commodity-focused gold yield fund. Each fund carries a ticker symbol and a strategy description that investors and advisers can find in fund documents and exchange listings.
Exchange-traded funds pool investor capital and trade on public exchanges. They allow investors to buy and sell a single security that represents exposure to a defined portfolio or strategy.
