Millennium Hires Jain Global Investor Relations Executive
Millennium Management has hired Chris Mascarinas, Jain Global’s former managing director of marketing and investor relations, for its New York capital development team.
Mascarinas has joined the capital development and investor relations group led by John Novogratz in New York, according to people familiar with the appointment. The timing of his start was not disclosed.
The appointment follows Jain Global’s decision to stop managing money for external investors and transfer that capital to Millennium. Jain continues to operate as an independent business, with its portfolio managers, communications team and investment operations in place.
Jain is continuing to recruit investment professionals. The transfer of external capital reduced the firm’s need for a dedicated fundraising operation.
Mascarinas joined Jain Global in November 2023 after holding investor relations roles at several investment firms. Jain declined to comment. It was unclear whether Jaime Hobbeheydar, the firm’s chief marketing and investor relations officer, will join Millennium.
