Mastercard launches free cyber platform for European SMEs

Mastercard has launched a free cybersecurity platform for small and medium-sized businesses across Europe. The service assesses a company’s cyber practices and identifies areas that may need attention.

The platform is designed for businesses that do not have dedicated cybersecurity teams or the resources to hire specialist providers. It helps them review their ability to protect systems and data and plan improvements based on the assessment.

The company said the service is intended to help smaller businesses address online threats that can disrupt operations, expose customer information or cause financial losses. It is available at no cost to European small and medium-sized businesses.

The platform extends Mastercard’s cybersecurity work beyond its payment networks by giving smaller companies tools to review their security arrangements and assess their cyber readiness.
