Mashreq’s NeoVentures invests in Traydstream
NeoVentures, Mashreq’s corporate venture arm, has invested in Traydstream after the firms launched TraydFund in 2025 to support expansion in the Middle East and Asia.
Traydstream has received a strategic investment from NeoVentures, the corporate venture capital arm of Mashreq. The funding follows the companies’ joint launch of TraydFund in 2025 and targets Traydstream’s growth across the Middle East and Asia and wider adoption of its platform by banks and corporates.
TraydFund, a trade asset sell‑down solution created by Traydstream and NeoVentures in 2025, has begun to gain traction in international markets. NeoVentures said its initial focus will be on strengthening market access across the Middle East and Asia and on bringing Traydstream’s platform to more financial institutions globally.
Traydstream’s automated trade platform has processed more than US$350 billion in trade volumes across over seven million transactions and handled more than 20 million pages for institutions and corporates in 68 countries. The company positions the platform as an AI‑powered operating layer for digital trade finance that automates document‑heavy processing and connects execution, compliance, risk, funding and distribution.
Sameer Sehgal, Traydstream’s chief executive, welcomed NeoVentures as both investor and strategic partner. He said the TraydFund collaboration showed how Traydstream’s technology and NeoVentures’ commercial and venture‑building expertise can work together, and that the investment will provide a platform to scale internationally and simplify trade operations for banks and businesses.
Amith Rajan, head of wholesale digital banking at Mashreq and chief executive of NeoVentures, described Traydstream as one of the world’s leading trade automation platforms, highlighting its scale and AI capabilities. He said NeoVentures will support commercial growth, strengthen market access and explore new opportunities in trade finance, funding and distribution.
NeoVentures’ funds will be used to accelerate Traydstream’s international expansion and to broaden the platform’s adoption in target regions. The companies plan to work on commercial initiatives and product development related to trade finance, funding and distribution, leveraging Traydstream’s operational data and automation.
Traydstream was founded to reduce manual handling of trade documents and to speed compliance and processing for banks and corporate clients. Its platform applies machine‑learning and rule‑based automation to validate documents against trade rules and regulatory requirements, aiming to cut errors and shorten processing times.
