Marex onboarded as Deribit broker for institutions
Marex Group has been onboarded as a broker on Deribit, enabling its institutional clients to trade crypto options, futures and perpetuals on Deribit’s derivatives platform.
Marex Group plc (NASDAQ: MRX) has been onboarded as a broker on Deribit, enabling its institutional clients to route orders to Deribit’s derivatives platform for crypto options, futures and perpetuals.
The arrangement links Marex’s regulated infrastructure, global distribution and agency execution with Deribit’s derivatives trading systems and liquidity, allowing clients to access deep order books across multiple crypto products.
Under the integration, Marex will route client orders to Deribit and provide execution services alongside its existing risk-management capabilities and regional market coverage. Marex said the offering is designed for both traditional financial institutions entering digital assets and crypto-native firms seeking higher-touch execution and specialised trading arrangements.
Marex is a regulated financial services firm and provides clients with a counterparty subject to formal oversight, established risk controls and dedicated market coverage across regions, the firm noted.
Jonathan Issan, Co-Head of Crypto Trading at Marex, commented: “We are delighted to be onboarded as a broker on Deribit, a leading platform in the digital asset derivatives space. This partnership reflects Marex’s commitment to bridging traditional finance and crypto markets, bringing our deep liquidity expertise and agency execution model to a broader client base.”
Luuk Strijers at Deribit noted: “By combining Marex’s global distribution and risk management expertise with our deep liquidity and institutional-grade derivatives platform, we can offer both established financial institutions and crypto-native clients more efficient, reliable access to the digital asset derivatives space.”
Deribit operates a large crypto options market and derivatives trading infrastructure. Marex provides execution, clearing and risk services across global markets and has been expanding its digital asset capabilities as part of its broader business strategy.
