Marex names Allison DiClemente global head of capital intro

Allison DiClemente will lead Marex’s 13-person capital-introduction team, linking hedge fund managers with institutional allocators across the Americas, UK, Middle East and Asia.

Marex has appointed Allison DiClemente as global head of capital introduction. She will oversee a 13-person team that connects hedge fund managers with institutional allocators in the Americas, the UK, the Middle East and Asia.

DiClemente is based in New York and joined Marex Prime Services in May 2024 as an executive director. She spent two decades in financial services, including 15 years at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank, where she served as director of capital introduction and business development.

Her remit covers Marex’s capital-introduction activities in core global markets as the firm expands its prime services offering. The platform focuses on newer and emerging hedge fund managers and aims to match them with institutional investors seeking opportunities in that segment.

Marex reports the capital-introduction team provides access to about 2,100 institutional investors, investment advisers and family offices worldwide. Professionals operate from offices in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, São Paulo, London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore to provide regional coverage and local engagement with allocators.

The firm combines knowledge of individual fund strategies with awareness of allocator mandates to align manager profiles with investor needs. Marex has positioned prime services as a broader client relationship that includes financing and execution alongside capital introduction to support managers raising and retaining institutional capital.

The appointment comes as hedge fund managers compete for institutional allocations in a crowded alternatives market, where access to allocators is an important factor for newer and smaller managers seeking to scale assets.
