Man Group AUM hits record $253.6bn after H1 gains
Man Group reported AUM of $253.6bn at end-June after $19.8bn in investment gains and $7.1bn of net inflows in H1 2026.
Man Group reported assets under management of $253.6bn at 30 June 2026, up from $228.7bn at the end of March and above analyst forecasts of about $245.1bn.
The firm reported the $26.9bn increase in AUM in the six months to 30 June comprised $19.8bn in investment gains and $7.1bn of net new capital. Most inflows were directed to the company’s long-only strategies; market projections had forecast roughly $1.6bn of net inflows for the period.
Headquartered in London, Man Group is the world’s largest listed hedge fund manager. It operates discretionary and quantitative hedge funds, long-only products and alternative investment solutions. The firm’s flagship multi-strategy offering returned about 7.9% in the first half of 2026.
Robyn Grew, chief executive, commented that the results “reflected a broader trend among institutional investors to concentrate assets with a smaller group of established managers.” Antoine Forterre, chief financial officer, highlighted the scale of growth across the investment platform and the contribution from multiple strategies to the first-half gains.
Man Group has expanded its product range in recent years, including launches of actively managed bond exchange-traded funds. The company reported that improved trading conditions and market volatility supported returns across a range of strategies during the period and helped drive client interest in alternative investments.
