Mambu integrates Mastercard Move for account-to-account payments

Mambu has integrated its cloud banking platform with Mastercard Move to let banks and fintechs route deposits, payouts and transfers over Mastercard’s account-to-account network.

Mambu has integrated its cloud banking platform with Mastercard Move, giving banks, neobanks and fintech firms access to Mastercard’s account-to-account rails and real-time payment functions. The integration lets Mambu customers route deposits, payouts and transfers over Mastercard’s network where the service is available.

The connection links Mambu’s composable banking engine to Mastercard Move through application programming interfaces. The APIs translate payment instructions from Mambu into the formats required by Mastercard Move and return settlement and status information to the originating systems.

Clients can set payment types, settlement preferences and reconciliation processes inside their existing Mambu environment and use Mastercard Move for processing and settlement. The setup is intended to let firms add direct bank-to-bank payment flows without building or operating their own payments infrastructure.

Common use cases include peer-to-peer transfers, merchant payouts, supplier and payroll disbursements, and bill payments. The integration is designed to work alongside existing Mambu modules for accounts, ledgers and customer onboarding so firms do not need large changes to core systems.

Analysts note that direct access to account-to-account rails can lower transaction costs and shorten settlement times compared with some card-based flows, and can simplify reconciliation for businesses that move funds frequently. The integration responds to demand for embedded payments features that can be deployed through cloud-native platforms.

Mambu is a cloud-native banking platform used by banks, lenders and fintechs to build deposit, lending and payment products. Mastercard Move is Mastercard’s account-to-account payments solution for near-real-time transfers between bank accounts and for connecting banks and fintechs to multiple payment rails.
