LSEG to Buy Data Provider Octus for $3.5 Billion

London Stock Exchange Group has agreed to acquire Octus, a financial-data provider, for $3.5 billion. The deal would bring Octus into LSEG’s data and analytics business.

Octus provides data and research used by participants in financial markets. The companies did not disclose when the transaction is expected to close or which conditions must be met.

The acquisition would expand LSEG’s financial-information operations alongside its London Stock Exchange business.
