Lithic, Monavate team to offer fiat and crypto card programs
Lithic and Monavate will let companies launch and scale card programs that support fiat and digital currencies through a single commercial and technical relationship.
Lithic and Monavate announced a partnership to give companies a single route to build and scale card programs supporting both fiat and digital currencies. The agreement combines Lithic’s card processing platform with Monavate’s regulated issuing and settlement services.
Lithic supplies direct network connections and Authorization Intelligence for debit, prepaid, charge and credit products. Monavate provides FCA authorization as an e-money institution, principal memberships with Mastercard, Visa and Discover, its own BIN ranges and global settlement rails. The arrangement allows clients to launch card programs without contracting separate issuers, processors and settlement partners.
Monavate is owned by Exodus Movement, Inc., which acquired the payments platform and program manager in 2026 to bring issuing and settlement functions in-house for its self-custodial finance and payments platform.
The partners expect customers to move from decision to launch through a single commercial and technical relationship, shortening integration timelines and consolidating regulatory and settlement responsibilities. The combined offering supports conventional fiat payment flows and payments linked to digital-asset use cases.
Michael Rolph, Monavate’s chief executive, commented, “Monavate holds the licenses, the scheme memberships and the settlement infrastructure. Lithic runs one of the strongest processing platforms in the market. Together, we can take a combined offering to the world and serve both traditional and on-chain finance from the same foundation.” Nikil Konduru, Lithic’s chief commercial officer, added, “Traditional and on-chain finance are blending together. That’s exactly what our programmable card issuing infrastructure was built to support. Partnering with Monavate lets us bring that infrastructure to more regulated markets as those programs keep growing.”
Under the partnership, Lithic will provide the processing logic and developer tools while Monavate will offer regulatory oversight, BIN sponsorship and access to card schemes. The partners expect the integration to serve fintechs, crypto-native firms and traditional issuers that want to link tokenized or on-chain balances to off-chain card rails.
