Kredete acquires Gravv to build stablecoin rails
Kredete acquired Gravv to integrate its technology and engineering team and accelerate development of dollar-pegged stablecoin issuance, transfer and settlement for commercial and institutional clients.
Kredete has acquired Gravv, bringing Gravv’s technology and engineering team into Kredete’s payments and digital asset services to build infrastructure for dollar-pegged stablecoins used by commercial and institutional clients. The companies announced the agreement will focus on issuing, moving and settling tokenized dollars.
The deal covers Gravv’s core technology stack and engineering staff. Kredete plans to integrate Gravv’s protocols and developer tools into its platform to support programmable payments, custody interfaces and faster settlement between counterparties.
Development work will target issuance systems, on-chain transfer mechanics and settlement processes. Teams will also develop wallet integrations, transaction monitoring and governance features that regulated issuers and institutional participants typically require.
Security audits, regulatory reporting capabilities and interoperability with existing payment networks are listed as immediate priorities. Kredete plans to engage with regulators and industry partners to align the combined platform with local and international standards.
Kredete expects to retain Gravv’s engineering leadership and fold product teams into a consolidated development organization. The companies expect existing Gravv customers to continue receiving support while platform updates are introduced in staged releases.
Industry activity shows fintech and crypto firms adding specialized engineering teams to accelerate development of tokenized payment and settlement rails across networks and jurisdictions. Stablecoins are digital tokens designed to maintain a stable value relative to a fiat currency and are used for trading, payments and settlement in digital asset markets.
