Juspay launches Breeze Universal to surface brands in AI chats

Juspay has launched Breeze Universal, a global pilot that makes merchants’ product catalogs available inside AI conversations on platforms including ChatGPT and Claude.
The feature lets shoppers discover, compare and buy items from multiple brands within a single AI interaction. Companies that already host sellers — such as banks, fintechs, marketplaces and direct-to-consumer brands — can add AI shopping without building new infrastructure or changing current operations.
Breeze Universal connects to existing stores and catalogues on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and custom storefronts, and exposes inventory across customer touchpoints including AI platforms, mobile apps and websites. Users can invoke @breeze inside ChatGPT to get curated product recommendations without leaving the chat interface.
The product is built on Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) to align with emerging AI commerce standards and to reduce integration complexity for merchants. Brands on the platform can publish an @brand app inside ChatGPT through Breeze and deploy AI-powered storefronts that offer a single search over the full catalogue.
Juspay offers Breeze Universal as drop-in components, a headless kit or via APIs to fit different technical setups. Sheetal Lalwani, COO and co-founder of Juspay, described the product’s aim as enabling brands to be discoverable within AI conversations and linking discovery with commerce, and noted that consumers increasingly use AI assistants for recommendations.
The pilot will test how AI assistants can serve as direct discovery and purchase channels for merchants and their partners and seeks to create a shared commerce layer where multiple brands’ catalogues are accessible across AI platforms or used to power custom AI storefronts.
