June CE quiz offers one hour credit for advisors

A June continuing-education quiz for financial advisors is live. Subscribers who answer at least eight of 10 questions correctly can earn one hour of CE credit for CFP Board and Investments & Wealth Institute.

A monthly continuing-education quiz for financial advisors is now available to subscribers. The online, self-study quiz is based on six recent articles and is open to paying subscribers of the publication.

The June edition covers general financial planning topics. Subjects include the tax effects of 100% bonus depreciation on qualifying commercial property, an estate-planning adjustment often called the 2/37 haircut, pros and cons of 529 college-savings plans, a trustees’ projection that the Social Security trust fund could run short in late 2032, red flags for heirs’ property where an estimated $243 billion of wealth is at risk, and approaches for advising clients through divorce.

The quiz contains 10 multiple-choice questions. Subscribers who correctly answer at least eight of the 10 questions may earn one hour of continuing-education credit toward maintaining certain CFP Board and Investments & Wealth Institute certifications. Participants should have their professional ID numbers ready. Scores are provided immediately after completion.

Subscribers may earn up to 12 CE credits per year through the publication’s monthly quizzes. Past quizzes and an archive of CE offerings are available through the publication’s CE quiz archive. Reprint and licensing requests follow the publication’s standard channels.
