Hedgeweek European Awards 2026: Winners Announced in London
Winners were named at etc.venues, County Hall, London on 9 June after an online poll of the Hedgeweek userbase; shortlists were pre-selected using 12-month annualised returns.
The winners of the Hedgeweek European Awards 2026 were announced at a ceremony and networking event at etc.venues, County Hall, London, on 9 June. The awards recognise fund performance and service provider work across the European hedge fund industry. Shortlists were produced from multiple data sources based on 12-month annualised returns, and final winners were chosen by an online vote of the Hedgeweek userbase.
Hedgeweek combined quantitative screening of annualised returns with the user vote to determine category winners. The programme covered manager performance categories across credit, equity long/short, multi-strategy, macro and UCITS, and a broad set of service provider categories including technology, custody, fund administration, compliance and marketing.
Among manager awards, Capital Fund Management (CFM) won Alternative Data Use of the Year and secured Performance of the Year awards in Macro & Managed Futures and Multi-Strategy. Calibrate Management Limited won Emerging Performance: Macro & Managed Futures, Infrastructure Build-Out of the Year and Investor Relations Programme of the Year. Other manager winners included Portland Hill Asset Management for Emerging Performance: Alternative Equity; Tenax Capital for Emerging Performance: Credit Strategies; Archipelago Investments for Emerging Performance: Equity Long/Short; EverestQuant as Rising Star Manager of the Year; Lighthouse Capital for Performance of the Year: Equity Long/Short; Trium Capital for UCITS Performance of the Year: Alternative Strategies; and Sona Asset Management for Performance of the Year: Credit Strategies.
Service provider awards recognised firms across accounting, custody, fund administration, technology and prime brokerage. SS&C GlobeOp was named Fund Administrator of the Year overall. BNY received Custodian Service of the Year and Fund Administrator of the Year: Client Services. IG Prime was awarded Prime Broker of the Year overall, with SEB winning Prime Broker: Capital Introduction and Scope Prime earning recognition for prime brokerage client service. Options Technology took Technology Provider of the Year: Overall, Premialab won Quant Technology Solution of the Year and HUB was named Technology Provider of the Year: AI. MSCI was Index Provider of the Year and Interactive Brokers won Trading & Execution Platform of the Year.
Other specialist winners included H2O AM Europe for Technology Innovation of the Year, J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management for Net Flows of the Year, and Howden for Insurance Solution of the Year. Legal and audit awards went to Maples Group for Law Firm of the Year: Overall and EisnerAmper for Audit Firm of the Year: Overall, while Blick Rothenberg and Opus Fund Services were recognised in start-up categories for audit and fund administration respectively.
The event brought together portfolio managers, operations staff, technology vendors and advisers from across Europe for presentations and networking. Hedgeweek published a full list of category winners reflecting the data-driven shortlists and the user vote announced at the London ceremony.
