Goldman Sachs ETF GPIQ Tops $5B Ahead of 3-Year Mark
Goldman Sachs’ Nasdaq-100 Premium Income ETF (GPIQ) crossed $5 billion in assets after more than $2 billion in net inflows this year; it will reach three years since launch in October.
Goldman Sachs’ Nasdaq-100 Premium Income ETF (GPIQ) surpassed $5 billion in assets under management in recent weeks. The fund launched in October 2023 and has drawn more than $2 billion in net inflows since the start of 2026.
GPIQ combines exposure to Nasdaq-100 equities with an options overlay. The fund sells call options on between 25% and 75% of its equity holdings and can use FLEX options where needed. It seeks to reflect the approach of its underlying index and charges an annual fee of 29 basis points.
The fund returned roughly 15% year-to-date. Goldman Sachs reported a 12-month trailing distribution rate of 9.13% as of May 31. Those performance and distribution figures, together with the inflows this year, pushed assets above $5 billion.
GPIQ will reach its three-year anniversary in October. ETFs that reach three years of operation can be eligible for additional brokerage listings and platform support and can present multiple years of returns to investors.
Income-focused ETFs have attracted increased investor interest over the past two years as some investors seek regular cash distributions alongside equity exposure. GPIQ’s approach of selling calls on a portion of holdings is designed to generate income while allowing for some upside participation if the market rises.
The fund’s asset growth and reported performance will be part of the record it presents when it reaches three years in operation.
