GoldenTree Appoints Ellen Conti as CFO
Ellen Conti, formerly CFO at Sculptor Capital, will be chief financial officer at GoldenTree Asset Management.
GoldenTree Asset Management appointed Ellen Conti as chief financial officer, naming the former Sculptor Capital finance chief to lead the firm’s finance operations. GoldenTree is based in New York and manages about $70 billion in assets.
Conti served as chief financial officer at Sculptor Capital for more than two years before that firm’s 2024 sale to Rithm Capital. She previously held senior finance roles at Assured Investment Management and BlueMountain Capital Management.
GoldenTree said Conti will oversee the firm’s finance function and that her background leading finance organizations will strengthen its senior management team.
The firm focuses on credit investing and has been active in stressed and distressed situations, including financing transactions involving Liberty Puerto Rico and Saks. GoldenTree has expanded into structured credit and special-situation financing.
No start date for Conti’s appointment was disclosed. The hire follows consolidation and deal activity in the alternative asset management sector, including the sale of Sculptor in 2024.
GoldenTree operates across leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, distressed debt and structured products. Conti’s experience with credit-focused managers and complex capital structures aligns with those areas of the business.
