Global X launches NYSE 100 UCITS ETF on LSE and Xetra

Global X ETFs Europe listed the Global X NYSE 100 UCITS ETF (NYSX) on the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse Xetra to offer exposure to 100 US-listed tech and tech-enabled growth companies.

Global X ETFs Europe has launched the Global X NYSE 100 UCITS ETF, ticker NYSX, with initial listings on the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse Xetra. The firm expects further listings across Europe after the initial debuts.

The ETF tracks the NYSE 100 UCITS Index, which is administered and calculated by ICE Data Indices, part of Intercontinental Exchange. Global X is the exclusive UCITS ETF licensee for that index.

NYSX targets 100 US-listed companies focused on technology and technology-enabled growth. The fund draws from a broad set of eligible names, including American depositary receipts, and selects firms across multiple sectors and exchanges rather than limiting itself to a single industry classification.

Global X described the ETF as a way for European investors to gain access to US companies involved in digital transformation. The firm pointed to trends such as cloud computing, automation, data analytics and fintech as examples of technologies increasingly embedded across industries.

Preston Peacock, head of ICE Data Indices, commented that the index methodology is intended to provide a narrower, more targeted benchmark for companies driving technological innovation than broader benchmarks.

Gea Blumberg, co-head and head of business development at Global X ETFs Europe, said the partnership with ICE Data Indices aligns with the firm’s goal of expanding investment options for European clients and noted that the UCITS license covers the NYSE 100 UCITS Index exclusively for Global X.

The UCITS structure conforms to common European regulatory standards for exchange-traded funds. Once additional listings and approvals are in place, the ETF should be marketable to investors across multiple European jurisdictions.

The launch adds to Global X’s range of ETFs available to European investors and offers a single tradable vehicle aimed at concentrated exposure to US tech and tech-enabled growth companies.
