Global X Copper Miners ETF began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Sept. 15, 2026, under tickers 3014 (HKD) and 9014 (USD). The fund tracks the Solactive Copper Miners Index and is listed on HKEX in both Hong Kong dollars and US dollars.

The ETF is offered by Global X ETFs, the ETF brand of Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited, in collaboration with index provider Solactive. It provides exposure to companies involved in copper mining and related activities.

Copper demand is linked to sectors including power grid expansion, electrification, renewable energy deployment, electric vehicles, digital infrastructure and data centres. The ETF targets firms that operate across those parts of the copper supply chain.

The Solactive Copper Miners Index is built from the Solactive GBS Global Markets All Cap USD Index universe. The index applies liquidity screens and selects up to 30 eligible securities ranked by total market capitalisation. Constituents are weighted by free-float market capitalisation with an individual cap of 7% and the index is rebalanced semi-annually in February and August.

Solactive reported that the net total return version of the index rose 85.65% over the 360 days to Sept. 8, 2026, and 31.91% year-to-date. Performance for periods before the index’s live date of July 7, 2026, is based on back-tested data.

Timo Pfeiffer, chief markets officer at Solactive, commented that copper has grown in relevance across electrification, renewable energy, electric mobility and data centres, and noted the expanded collaboration with Mirae Asset under the Global X ETFs brand. Dennis Fok, co-chief executive officer and chief investment officer, ETF, at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited, added that the listing extends Global X’s commodity-related offerings in Hong Kong and provides diversified access to companies supplying copper.

The listing increases the range of commodity-related ETFs available under the Global X label in Hong Kong and offers a single security for investors seeking exposure to copper producers and suppliers on the local exchange.
