Global ETFs Log USD245.8B Net Inflows in August
Lipper reports global ETFs had estimated net inflows of USD245.8 billion in August, lifting industry assets to USD22,940.3 billion at month-end.
Lipper’s European fund flows report for August 2026 shows global exchange-traded funds attracted estimated net inflows of USD245.8 billion during the month, raising industry assets to USD22,940.3 billion at the end of August.
Equity ETFs accounted for most of the inflows, with an estimated USD150.2 billion moving into equity products. The top Lipper global classifications by net inflow were Equity US (USD76.8 billion), Equity Global (USD20.9 billion) and Bond USD Government Short Term (USD17.9 billion).
Promoter flows were concentrated among the largest providers. Vanguard recorded estimated net inflows of USD62.9 billion, iShares USD40.0 billion and Invesco USD27.1 billion. The 10 largest ETF promoters together gathered an estimated USD179.6 billion of net inflows in August.
By domicile, funds registered in the United States attracted an estimated USD179.2 billion in net inflows for the month.
Industry assets rose to about USD22.94 trillion at month-end. Earlier industry tracking showed global ETF assets reached roughly USD20 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.
