Global ETF launches, week of July 2–9, 2026
Issuers launched new ETFs in the week of July 2–9, 2026, after STOXX Ltd acquired Scientific Beta and data showed USD44.9bn into European UCITS in June and over USD1tn into US-listed ETFs in H1 2026.
Global asset managers listed a range of new exchange-traded funds during the week of July 2–9, 2026, amid corporate and flow developments that shaped market activity.
STOXX Ltd announced on July 8 that it had acquired Scientific Beta, a firm based in Nice, France, which STOXX described as “known for its world-class research.” The company said the deal will integrate Scientific Beta’s index research and smart-beta design into STOXX’s operations.
Data released for the period showed the European UCITS ETF market recorded net inflows of about USD44.9 billion in June 2026. Separately, US-listed ETFs attracted more than USD1 trillion in inflows in the first half of 2026.
During the July 2–9 week, issuers listed new funds covering a range of strategies. New offerings included equity sector exposures, fixed-income funds focused on duration and credit, and thematic ETFs targeting long-term industry and demographic trends. Some of the launches used UCITS structures to target European investors, while others listed on US exchanges to access domestic liquidity.
Amundi reported quarterly inflows of EUR113.6 billion, an increase of about 7% from the prior quarter, with equities contributing to the gain. The firm’s reported inflows formed part of the broader fundraising figures for the period.
Fund houses introduced the products through established exchange venues and regulatory structures appropriate to each target market. Documentation for the new ETFs noted fee levels, underlying index or strategy, and listing venue, with some funds using licensed indices and others referencing bespoke index constructions.
Market participants and fund paperwork linked product rollouts to recent index developments and to the volume of investor flows, with several issuers updating their product schedules in early July. The week’s activity added to an already active issuance calendar in the first half of 2026.
ETFs remain available in UCITS format for European investors and as US-listed vehicles for domestic investors, reflecting the continued coexistence of the two primary product platforms. The new listings in July expanded the menu of index-linked and passive strategies available to investors across regions.
Background data cited by issuers and exchange filings show global ETF assets and monthly flows remain significant factors in listing decisions. The July 2–9 launches followed the combination of the STOXX announcement and the published flow figures for June and H1 2026.
