Former Westpac FX Head Callum Dunn Joins DIGITEC

Callum Dunn, former Westpac global head of FX forwards, has joined DIGITEC as lead solutions architect to work on pricing, electronic liquidity and trading workflow automation.

Callum Dunn has joined DIGITEC as Lead Solutions Architect. He will work with clients to shape pricing, electronic liquidity provision and trading workflow automation services and support the firm’s product and commercial teams.

Dunn has more than 20 years of experience in global FX and short-term interest-rate markets. He spent 12 years at Westpac, rising to Global Head of FX Forwards and overseeing the bank’s global FX forwards business. In that role he led the development of electronic pricing, liquidity and execution capabilities across single-dealer platforms, institutional multi-dealer venues and API distribution. Before Westpac he spent more than five years at Standard Chartered trading G10 and emerging-market short-term interest-rate products.

At DIGITEC he is expected to translate client requirements into new services and enhancements to the firm’s multi-asset pricing and workflow technology.

“Having used D3 Pricing extensively as a trader, I understand how DIGITEC supports FX pricing and liquidity provision. After more than 20 years in the market I have seen where banks encounter friction across pricing, data and electronic trading workflows. I look forward to combining that practitioner perspective with DIGITEC’s technology and industry expertise to develop services that address these challenges,” Dunn commented.

Marco Kuper, DIGITEC’s chief product officer, commented that Dunn brings commercial leadership and market knowledge and a deep understanding of how banks build and operate electronic pricing and trading businesses. “Clients are seeking more sophisticated technology to automate pricing, liquidity provision and trading workflows. Callum’s experience will help as we expand our services,” Kuper added.

DIGITEC provides multi-asset pricing technology and data and is known for its FX swaps and NDF platforms. Its client base includes more than half of the Euromoney Top 50 FX trading firms. The firm’s services include D3 Pricing, D3 OMS, the Swaps Data Feed (SDF) and a Precious Metals Data Feed (PMF) developed with 360T.

In his new role Dunn will engage directly with clients to identify requirements and help design service offerings that streamline pricing workflows and electronic liquidity delivery across trading venues and API channels.
