FinScan integrates Quantifind AI for adverse media screening
FinScan has integrated Quantifind’s Graphyte AI into its compliance platform, adding adverse-media screening to sanctions, PEP and watchlist workflows.
FinScan announced this week that it has integrated Quantifind’s Graphyte AI adverse media screening into its compliance platform, embedding adverse-media intelligence into sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) and watchlist workflows to detect financial crime risks reported in global news.
The integration routes Graphyte’s adverse-media signals into FinScan’s existing screening, matching and data quality processes, creating a single workflow for sanctions, PEP and watchlist checks. Signals are linked to customer risk scores, precision matching is applied and alert suppression is used to reduce duplicate and low-value alerts so compliance teams can concentrate on confirmed risks.
Quantifind’s Graphyte platform continuously analyses global news and other public sources using language models, AI-driven entity resolution and dynamic risk typologies to surface emerging indicators in real time. The system evaluates multilingual content and is configured to keep customer data within an organisation’s jurisdiction while producing explainable signals for investigators.
By placing adverse-media intelligence inside the same workflow used for sanctions and watchlist screening, FinScan says analysts can investigate and resolve flagged items without switching systems. The integration also creates audit-ready records of screening activity and aims to shorten case review times.
The solution targets banks, insurers, payment firms, fintechs and other regulated entities that screen customers, suppliers and counterparties. Regulators are placing greater emphasis on measurable anti-money laundering outcomes, and institutions face exposure from parties that may never appear on official watchlists.
Deborah Overdeput, FinScan’s chief operating officer, commented that regulators expect AML programmes to demonstrate effectiveness and that adverse media produces a high volume of noisy results; she said Graphyte helps identify relevant signals while FinScan provides matching, data quality and workflow controls. Graham Bailey, Quantifind’s chief operating officer, added that Graphyte was built to resolve entities across large volumes of public data and deliver transparent, explainable signals that can be incorporated directly into existing screening workflows.
