Finix adds Android payment tablet and compact terminal

Finix announced two Android-enabled card-present devices, the PAX A3700 payment tablet and the PAX A35 compact terminal. Both accept contactless, EMV chip and magnetic-stripe payments.

The PAX A3700 features a 7-inch touchscreen and can operate as a standalone mobile device or connect to a hub. It supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE and Ethernet.

The PAX A35 has a 4-inch touchscreen and a tactile keypad and is designed for fixed customer-facing checkouts. It connects via Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Transactions processed on both devices route into Finix’s payments platform, where merchants can manage reporting, reconciliation, refunds, customer records and other payment operations alongside online transactions.

Finix is a full-stack payment processor that provides tools to accept and send payments online and in-store. The company expanded its hardware options to offer a larger tablet-style interface and a compact countertop terminal for different checkout environments.
