Bjoern Doehrer has been appointed chief product officer at FE fundinfo; he will lead Nexus platform strategy and AI-enabled data offerings and will be based in Frankfurt.

FE fundinfo has named Bjoern Doehrer chief product officer. He will lead the company’s product function and set product strategy for the Nexus platform, data and analytics, and AI-enabled services for investment and wealth management clients. He will be based in Frankfurt and work with teams across the business. He will act as the primary product voice to the executive leadership team and the board.

In the role, Doehrer will coordinate the organisation’s work to develop AI-enabled products and services through the integrated Nexus platform, align product development with commercial partners and client requirements, and report into senior leadership.

Doehrer most recently worked as a strategic adviser to private equity investors and PE-backed companies. He spent five years in global product leadership roles at Morningstar. Earlier he served as chief product officer at Infront and led platform strategy after Infront acquired vwd AG in 2019. He co-founded EDG AG (now Infront Quant AG), a firm focused on quantitative and regulatory technology for investment products, and has a background in financial engineering and entrepreneurship.

Liam Healy, FE fundinfo’s chief executive, welcomed the appointment, saying Doehrer combines domain knowledge, data expertise and platform experience and has a record of building and scaling data-driven businesses. Doehrer commented: “FE fundinfo has a very powerful product platform grounded in trusted, independent data and documentation for investment products used by investment managers and advisers at a scale that’s unique in our market. I am very excited to join FE fundinfo now to transform our platform into product experiences that make life measurably easier for our clients, built on that same trusted data foundation and the evolution of AI.”
