Eftsure buys Relish to add AI invoice and vendor checks

Eftsure has acquired Relish to add AI vendor-data validation and automated invoice processing to its payment verification services.

Eftsure announced it has acquired Relish to add AI-driven vendor data validation and invoice automation to its payment verification services. The companies said the deal will allow finance teams to verify more vendor and invoice information before payments are made.

Relish provides two main technologies: Data Assure, which validates and enriches vendor identity, banking, tax, ownership and sanctions information against live government and third-party sources; and Invoice AI, which automates and validates invoice processing using machine learning. Eftsure’s independent payment verification will be combined with those tools to extend checks earlier in the payment flow, from vendor onboarding through final payment confirmation.

The combined platform connects with more than 35 enterprise and finance systems, including SAP, Coupa, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle NetSuite. The companies said the platform will remain system-agnostic to preserve partner and customer choice.

Eftsure and Relish intend to apply the verification capabilities across payroll, disbursements and other payment workflows, enabling checks of individuals as well as businesses. The firms expect the combined technologies to reduce manual steps in procure-to-pay processes, improve sanctions and compliance screening, and add controls to detect duplicate or incorrect payments before funds leave an organisation.

The acquisition follows other expansion by Eftsure. With Sis ID, which joined the group in 2025, the combined business serves more than 4,000 customers across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific and employs over 600 people. The companies say they actively monitor about 11 million vendors, provide coverage across 190 countries and territories, can verify accounts covering roughly 85% of the world’s banked population, and protect more than US$288 billion in payments each year.

Eftsure cited an INTERPOL estimate that global financial fraud losses reached about US$442 billion in 2025, and noted customers are adopting AI and automation to speed operations and reduce risk. The addition of Relish’s data validation and invoice automation is intended to add earlier and more reliable checks in the payment lifecycle.

Eftsure said it will continue to expand platform integrations and remain independent from major enterprise software vendors. The companies did not provide a detailed timeline for product alignment or rollout. Eftsure CEO Jon Soldan described the aim as ‘a truly global payment assurance platform from onboarding to payment.’
