EDX links Fireblocks Network Link to speed asset transfers
EDX Markets integrated Fireblocks Network Link, letting Fireblocks clients transfer, fund and rebalance digital assets directly between Fireblocks workflows and the EDX platform.
EDX Markets has integrated Fireblocks Network Link to let Fireblocks clients move and manage digital assets directly between their Fireblocks workflows and the EDX trading and clearing platform. The connection supports transfers, account funding and liquidity rebalancing without creating separate operational processes for each venue.
EDX operates an institutional-only trading venue paired with a central clearinghouse. Fireblocks is an enterprise platform that secures more than $16 trillion in digital asset transactions. Clients can use the existing Network Link to route assets between EDX and other trading venues, custodians or liquidity pools.
The firms noted the integration aims to reduce operational frictions caused by fragmented liquidity pools, multiple product types, differing geographic rules and varied operating models across regulated financial firms. With the direct link, institutions can allocate funds across EDX accounts and adjust liquidity positions as trading needs and market conditions change.
EDX and Fireblocks stated the connection preserves current Fireblocks workflows and security settings, letting institutions keep existing custody controls while moving capital into and out of EDX. The companies added the arrangement is intended to give market participants greater flexibility to deploy capital and manage settlement flows.
Tony Acuña-Rohter, EDX Markets CEO, commented: “Institutional adoption of digital assets requires infrastructure that can support the speed and efficiency standards sophisticated firms expect from global financial markets. By enabling Fireblocks Network Link, we’re making it easier for clients to move capital into and out of EDX within the workflows they already use. Together with Fireblocks, we’re reducing friction and giving market participants greater flexibility to deploy capital and act on market opportunities.”
Fireblocks Network Link connects institutional wallets and workflows to trading venues and liquidity pools; adding EDX gives clients access to a regulated venue that combines trading with central clearing. EDX and Fireblocks said the collaboration is meant to improve operational efficiency for regulated firms at scale across trading, clearing and asset management.
