EBANX appoints executives to bolster regional leadership

EBANX appointed vice presidents and directors across Asia, Africa, Latin America and EMEA to place senior leaders nearer merchants and high‑growth markets.

EBANX expanded its senior leadership team with a series of vice presidential and director appointments across Asia, Africa, Latin America and EMEA. The company said the changes place executive decision-making closer to merchants and high-growth markets; the appointments are effective immediately.

James Booth joined as Vice President of Commercial for EMEA. Booth has more than 15 years of experience in cross-border payments and commercial expansion across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US, including roles at Verto and PPRO. José Maurício Orsolini Filho was named Vice President of Product and will lead Financial Products, Payouts and Product Marketing. Eduardo de Abreu moved into the role of chief product officer and regional CEO of EBANX Singapore.

At EBANX’s APAC headquarters in Singapore, Marcela Farima became Director of Merchant Success to support APAC enterprises expanding into emerging markets and global firms growing in Asia. Henrique Simião joined in Singapore as Director of Product, focusing on payment solutions across Africa, Asia and Turkey. In China, Liqian Zhang was promoted to Director of Merchant Success to assist Chinese brands with international expansion.

In Latin America, Juliana Etcheverry moved from Director of Country Growth for South LatAm to the newly created role of Director of Issuer Engagement & Growth in Uruguay, with responsibility for improving authorisation rates and reducing transactional friction. Javier Kaniewicz was named Director of Country Growth for South LatAm, overseeing Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Camila Alcalde, based in Brazil, joined as Director of Business Development and Engagement to work with global brands entering the region.

Wiza Jalakasi, formerly Director of Africa Market Development, took on expanded responsibility as Commercial Lead for Africa and the Middle East from South Africa. His role covers merchant growth, strategic partnerships and regional expansion.

EBANX also filled several global roles. Anderson Sato became Director of Staff and Growth and Guillermo Miro took the post of Director of Commercial Excellence & Revenue Operations. New senior hires include Alexandre Amorim Silveira as Director of Operational Excellence; Paulo Machado Simões as Director of Regulatory; Alain Delcourt as Director of Strategic Channel Partnerships; and Leandro Magalhães as Director of People Operations. Rafael Teixeira was promoted to Director of Information Security.

The company reported a 48% increase in Total Payment Volume over the past year. EBANX said it now operates across more than 60 countries when counting operations, team locations and merchant relationships, and maintains teams in 22 countries.

The appointments are intended to expand regional commercial coverage, speed merchant onboarding and improve transaction authorisation outcomes as EBANX supports global brands from North America, Europe and Asia entering markets in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia.
