DWS to rebrand globally as Deutsche Asset Management
DWS Group will introduce Deutsche Asset Management as its new global brand identity effective early November 2026.
DWS Group will adopt Deutsche Asset Management as its global brand identity in early November 2026, bringing its businesses under a single umbrella while keeping most existing product names and labels.
The new Deutsche Asset Management brand will house a family of established businesses: DWS will be positioned as the Active European Private Wealth brand, Xtrackers will remain the global ETF and passive mandates franchise, and RREEF will continue to represent the group’s US real estate business.
From November, product names will carry a “by Deutsche Asset Management //” endorsement to link them to the global platform. The Deutsche Asset Management name will be used directly for institutional client relationships and private markets services, while most product brands and identities will otherwise remain unchanged.
The firm says the rebrand aims to strengthen its profile as a gateway to Europe for investors worldwide, increase visibility with international and institutional clients and expand presence outside Germany and Europe. DWS also says the change is intended to create a more holistic approach to client relationships and to unify its commercial organisation around client groups.
DWS links the branding decision to recent organisational changes and strategic milestones. The company completed the strategic cycle presented at its 2022 Capital Markets Day and reported entering a new growth phase in early 2026. Operational adjustments cited by the firm include a reorganised Client Coverage Division aligned to client segments and a distribution organisation for Private Wealth and Institutional Clients. DWS joined Germany’s MDAX in March 2025.
Stefan Hoops, CEO at DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA, wrote in a company statement that Deutsche Asset Management will be “home to a family of strong and well‑established brands,” citing DWS’s 70‑year heritage in active portfolio management, Xtrackers’ position in ETFs and passive mandates, and RREEF’s real estate expertise.
The firm will roll out the Deutsche Asset Management identity in early November 2026 and update client-facing materials and product endorsements while maintaining continuity for most existing products.
